Note from the founder

Welcome to Health Esteemed! I’m Casey. I’m a registered dietitian who loves all things food and culture. I specialize in helping women understand nutrition and feel more confident fitting healthy eating into their busy lives.

Too many women are confused by strict diet trends or neglect to think about nutrition altogether. With so many things pulling at us - work, kids, relationships -  it can feel like there’s no time to think about the health of our food. That’s where I come in! I can help you apply fact-based, nutrition info on the daily. That way healthy eating becomes a lifestyle, not something we rush to right before bikini season. :)

I don’t believe in restrictive food rules because what’s life if you can’t eat all kinds of food? You’ll definitely find me at a hole-in-the-wall barbeque joint from time to time. That being said, just as things get out of hand when we lack balance in life, an unbalanced approach to food can leave us frustrated - lacking our desired results. Let’s work on your health and nutrition goals together!

Our Founder

Casey Terrell, MPH, RDN, LDN is a registered dietitian and health communication specialist with a passion for all things food. She specializes in helping people understand health and nutrition information so that they can make informed health decisions. Casey has supported health communication efforts over the past 10 years through collaboration with federal, nonprofit and for-profit organizations. In 2017, Casey founded Health Esteemed with the belief that health information should be science-based and culturally relevant, not one-size-fits-all.

Casey completed both a Master of Public Health and dietetic training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Furman University. When she’s not helping clients meet their nutrition goals, you can find her experimenting in the kitchen, exploring new places while traveling or spending time with her “two favorite boys” - her husband and son.
